How the sale works
Weecycled Wardrobe is a semi-annual Children's Consignment Sale
 in Fredericksburg, VA and a second sale in North Stafford,  VA.  
Sales are held in early Spring (March/April) and early Fall
(September/October).
Shoppers come from all over Virginia and surrounding states to
purchase high quality used Children's Clothing.
We now have over 500 consignors and thousands of shoppers.

Our most popular brands are Gymboree,  Gap, Polo, Tommy
Hilfiger, Nike, Guess, Kelly's Kids, Lands End, LL Bean, Osh Kosh,
Mulberry Bush, Sweet Potatoes,  Lilly, American Girl, Limited Too
and Mini Boden.  

Our most popular toys are Little Tikes outdoor playgrounds, Racing
Car beds, Kitchens, Doll Houses, Tool Benches, Barbie Jeeps, Brio
wooden train sets, and American Girl Dolls and accessories. We
also carry beautiful nursery furniture and bedding, cradles,
carseats, strollers, high chairs, exer-saucers and walkers. Along
with the excellent selection of
Maternity clothing, the Junior and Pre-Teen clothing is also very
popular.

Thanks to our Consignors who generously donate their unsold items
after each sale. We make contributions to several wonderful
organizations that reach out to those in need in our community.

Tell me again, how does this work?

In our local area of central Virginia, we take HIGH QUALITY
children's clothing on consignment and sell at our event. We give
consignors a generous 55% of the sale price (which they select).  
Consignor's checks and reports are available on Pick up Day after
the sale. You don't have to wait for it to arrive in the mail!
PLEASE Cash your consignor checks within 90 days.

Local consignors hang, tag and deliver their items to the sale, which
allows us to give 55% of their sales price. After the sales event,
they have the option of picking up their unsold items or having us
donate them to a charity.

Do you carry only children's clothing?

No. At our events we carry children's furniture, nursery bedding,
maternity clothing and nursing accessories and infant equipment
(such as strollers, high chairs, car seats and portable cribs.) We
also carry high quality toys, children's books, video games and
sports accessories.

Again this year  we will be selling high quality gently used furniture
that you would find in a child's room or playroom. We are excited
for this opportunity to continue out efforts to help meet the needs
of your family!

Most consignment stores give 40-50%. Why do you give 55%?

Our consignors are very special to us! We believe our consignors
deserve a fair price for their items and we want each consignor to
make the most money possible to benefit their family.  Starting in
the spring of 2008, we will be checking bags/strollers at the door
when leaving.  Please leave changes of clothing and toys in your car.

Why is your event better than having my own garage sale?

We do most of the work for you!  There is no rain date.  The prices
you choose are firm and no one will offer you $1 for something you
bought for $20.  You prepare your items and bring them to the
store, we handle the rest.  You just pick up your check, a detailed
inventory report and any items you do not want to donate at the
end of the sale, plus you will make a lot more money consigning than
you would at a garage sale.  Ebay...too much trouble!

Why do you emphasize EXCELLENT QUALITY so much?

No one wants to sort through, much less BUY, low quality items for
their children. It is a time waster for everyone to put worn,
stained, out-of-date items on a rack. That's why we insist on
accepting only high quality items.

Why did you put together a web site?

Because everybody else is doing it (kidding). Actually, we have had
our website online for approximately 4 years. When we purchased
our unique bar coding system and online data entry system four
sales ago, we knew that our moms would learn to love entering their
items online and tracking their sales throughout our events.
Weecycled Wardrobe gives them control in pricing their items, and
makes it very easy to make a great profit.

What kind of control does a consignor have over her items?

Several things:
1. She can select the price of each item.
2. She can choose whether she wants to sell some or all items for
25% on Tuesday and 50% off on the final sale day.
3. She can track the sale of each item on this website.
4.  She can decide she never wants to see her stuff again and
donate it to our worthy list of charitable organizations and know
she is making a difference (and a tax deduction, too).
